Anti-American, Lebron James, Goes Bust

  1. Another technique marketers and propagandists use is repetition, which is what you are doing. All of your points have been addressed and many of them discredited.

However, no matter how many times you call a sh*t sandwich a gourmet dining experience, it is still a sh*t sandwich.

Now I return this thread back to you and your propaganda saturation techniques.

  2. By the way, and you may have noticed, I never have started a political thread, except for maybe one. I merely respond to bullsh*t when I see it. If our resident Leftist posters here on ET did not post bullsh*t, I would have nothing to say politically.

  3. Young man to say your comprehension of matters is shallow in an understatement from my seat. I you are willing explore something you have said with me. My typing is not so good as I am missing finger tips but with practice I am improving. You were saying before that President Obama was just marketed well etc. and have some examples. Just you used Mercedes cars being sold cheaply as taxis in Central America as an off cuff example. Can you put some flesh on that ?

You are not discrediting anything by repeatedly pointing out one company defaulted while the other companies interest payments made the loan program profitable overall as well as having created thousands of jobs.

  5. Your alternative characterizations of what has happened doesn’t not change what happened.

Try putting the shoe on the other foot with how you would feel if the Government bailed out a Trump business, it went bankrupt, and taxpayers lost $500,000,000?

Saving jobs at nearly a million per person is not the most efficient way of going about it. A temporary Government subsidy of, say $10,000 per worker per year, would likely get the desired economic results after, perhaps, two years when the economy recovered. That is $20,000 per worker instead of almost a $1,000,000. Even doubling the total subsidy paid to $40,000 per job saved is a far better deal than what the Obama Administration did.

Importantly, the seriousness of the recession was caused by excessive financial institution risk taking and outright fraud brought on by inappropiate removal of long established financial safeguards. Bush deserves much of the blame on that, in my opinion.

Ethics, experience and knowledge in a wide variety of subjects, access to the best talent, and a well thought out and comprehensive plan are requirements for effective governance. Unfortunately, Americans and the world for that matter, have suffered because at least one of these elements have been missing with our political leadership spaning many Presidential terms.

  6. My Mercedes comment was based on a post here on ET. Trying looking it up. If you are not successful, let me know, and I’ll take a stab at it or use google.com. In the Alternative, maybe the OP will see this thread and chime in.

One of the most prominent weaknesses of posters on this board are people not supporting their statements. When you say something like “Young man to say your comprehension of matters is an understatement from my seat”, you are intellectually obligated to provide both a credibility statement and specific instances where my posts indicate shallow comprehension. I hope you have found many such instances.

A credibility statement tells readers who you are such as education obtained, employment achievements, and or the successful outcome of a major project. This is especially important when the writer’s depth of comments does not lend credibility in of itself.

On a final note in this post, I have no problem being proven wrong. I would rather be corrected than be spewing out garbage in a public forum for an extended period of time. Perhaps you saw where I did not initially give Obama credit for capturing Bin Laden, but after Tony Stark’s comments, I later gave Obama the credit he deserved.

    So tell us about yourself.

If the overall program included other businesses and was profitable for the tax payers as well as created thousands of jobs Id say bravo.

  9. I will answer later on but from above and my six years of experience as a loan officer in a successful regional bank I will wager this. you grew up too poor in both financial security and competent adults to nurture you. the consequence of that is writ large in how you twist and turn.

  10. As I have mentioned several times here on ET, I was was raised by a single, substance abusing single parent who dealt drugs, engaged in prostitution, received welfare and food stamps, ultimately received disability for a non physical issue, and was an activist in Leftist politics. My mom was also brilliant and helped get several environmental laws changed before environmentalism was monetized. I was brought up in a poor neighborhood comprised mostly of minorities and recent immigrants in New York City.

My greatest personal achievement was diminishing the disfunctional mindset that I was taught by my mom as in drug dealer good; policeman bad. There were other disfunctional mindsets such as a sense of entitlement for the only reason of being poor. Having seen the lifestyles of several socio-economic classes, the general differences in work ethic, how people treat each other, and just basic reasoning skills, I believe I'm well qualified to address political issues on a personal level that effects people from a wide variety of socio-economic classes. I also tend to not tolerate what appears to be purposeful misinformation being presented to further a harmful political agenda.

I seek truth and justice for those wronged, but do not believe there should be automatic handouts. Hopefully you understand that politics nowadays is more about monetizing voters or corporate contacts and obtaining power for the agenda of a select few entities that seek to concentrate power rather than representing the people.
