Average age before real medicine and science, Errrmmmm 38, with 74, odds are if your older than 38 then it's cause of science and real medicine. Science has already extended life HUGELY!!
I'd give strong votes to.... Smoking: proven link to cancer; education; cessation Better nutrition awareness and participation Cardio-vascular: regular work outs specific to it Work outs in general: fitness centers, home, work Better at the basics: more education to, and attention to more and better quality of sleep; meditation; better education and .......periodic examination for breast and colon cancer Media/the web attention to health..."tips for this or that;" new findings to assist longevity Cancer: earlier detection, better therapy, dramatically more survivals Enhanced medical modalities in general for diagnosis and treatment
I give strong votes, to.... Not worrying about it to much. Having as much fun as possible whilst here. Better to die fat and happy, more for the worms to chew on Could get hit by a bus tomorrow, after years of good eating then it's all been a waste. Not that I smoke or drink and I Mountain Bike a lot and gym, but only for fun, not for health reasons just a happy coincidence I guess. 2 minor heart attacks in, from over doing the Biking, pushing myself too hard, I'd be literally better off, being a coach potato, but no way to live!
I can see it in the future: Big headlines, "Scientists figure out how to extend average life span to 1000 years" Soon to be followed by big advertisements, "Lock in the lowest rates ever on our new 900-year mortgages"
