I didn't get a chance to sit in front of the computer but it looks like it would have been a frustrating small range day.

I messed around with a few things today. For one, I used yesterday's high instead of close as one of the pivots since the closes were almost identical. For another I traded 12 round turns in a few minutes which gave me almost all my profit and spent the rest of the day HOPING for the ES trade to come back.
Sooo, in retrospect, I made around $540, which is good. But I didn't respect the natural stop on my ES trades and averaged down to get close to break even, which is bad.
This jpg shows the only NQ trade of the day, which was perfect. Took profits at 10 pts which, as luck would have it was exactly right. Also I didn't get short until was below the lower pivot, also a good move.

coulda woulda shoulda. I stayed with a loser as you will see and almost broke even as it came back. If I had played it right I could easily have broken even but I am more mad about letting it go instead of just stopping and reversing. I think I might start forcing myself to go the opposite direction on each trade. Not necessarily SAR but taking the trade in the opposite direction after picking my spots. That way I don't get too biased on direction.

Can't decide if I should use the closes or the high from Friday since the closes are too together (between Friday and Thursday)

Same thing here. These are just lines in the sand. They have the benefit of making the stops small but also if you vacillate back and forth in this small area you could get chewed up.

I was in there for the first little bit of the day. Looks like I missed the big move but I got $80 out of the deal. Too bad because this type of trend day is what you wait for.
The ES was too high early in the day to chase so I traded the NQ. Unfortunately I got stopped out before the big move. At least this time I didn't leave the computer without a stop in place.
I like it when it comes back to unchanged or even a little the other way. That's the only way you're going to get in with this system unless you start playing the highs and lows too.

If I were playing the high I probably could have gotten this off but I just didn't want to fight the obvious bullishness of the day. So I traded the NQ instead.

Did not respect my stops but the market went my way. Between the NQ And ES I made $600 but that is just luck, pure and simple.
This is pretty typical of the way my trading goes. I'll have an incredibly long streak of winners and poof, I push my luck and then give it back. Today was luck.

At least the ES was somewhat close to respectable.

This is the NQ trade today. You can see I'm short below both closes.
