  1. We know what gets attention and what does not.

Chicago’s most violent weekend of 2021(as of July): 104 shot, 19 of them killed. 13 kids among the wounded

In the deadliest and most violent weekend this year in Chicago, over 100 people were shot over the long Fourth of July weekend, 19 of them killed.

Not passing laws to prevent this is not logical. If you think you’re being rational and I’m being emotional then you are delusional.

And yet you're the one acting emotional, here. "You're delusional!" "What is wrong with you people?"

What law should be passed? Please be specific.

Precisely, Tree! We don't care about that stuff, right?

No. You’re burden shifting and denying your role. You need to answer that question, not me. That’s the delusion, that your opposition to gun laws isn’t allowing for these massacres to happen. You need to figure out what can be done and ask yourself why does this happen so frequently in America.

  6. Complicated issue and we won't be able to address it in any meaningful way without stepping on the rights of some people.
Somebody starts acting goofy, makes threats, has a history...what do we do. Arrest and detain them? For how long? To what end?
Deny lawful purchase of weapons some people don't see as necessary? Who decides what is necessary?
Does any of that stop a criminal who by the very definition of criminal will not obey laws?
Does this mean we should do nothing because all of the things we might do won't really stop 100% of the killings? What's an acceptable level of killings given we can't stop them all?
Will we ever address the mental health crisis in this country, especially among young people and children? Will we ever take a look and consider we might be creating monsters by drugging our kids at such early stages of life just to "calm them down".
This will all take some leadership which is willing to do something other than use the issue on the never ending campaign trail. Unlikely seeing we have a government run by cowards who will only pander to the loudest lunatic in the room. It will take people coming together with some common sense things we can all agree on. That will be difficult considering we can't get 100% consensus on the easy stuff. You know, like using 5 year olds to experiment on for sex changes is a bad idea, all to push a political agenda. I mean if we can't get 100% agreement on something as obvious as that, how do we deal with the complicated stuff?

  8. In the aggregate, Americans exult in their gun ownership and the Second Amendment. And when evidence has presented itself again and again in horrific fashion that it is a flawed concept whose time has come and gone, they have only ever chosen to double down. You would think that this kind of strategy would ring a bell on this site.

I know why it happens so frequently in America. You don't want to accept my answers. You're the one calling for change, and that change is in the manner of gun control laws. I'm the one telling you that won't work. That is my opinion.

My approach is towards mental illness and higher security in schools. If you don't agree with that, we can discuss. But I've asked you to tell me what laws you believe will work and you don't seem to want to.

I'm trying to discuss - what facet do you want to discuss? You seem to just be about emotion - which I understand, really. This is a horrific incident. So what do we do about it? Lets discuss.

How many of those people in those pictures committed a crime with guns, Spikey? Even one?

Now, we can put up some ANTIFA mug shots and ask the same question!
