Nah only about 1/3 Americans own a gun. That’s not even that high. The problem is there is zero accountability for purchasing and owning a gun. So we have guns, and all kinds of military style guns, everywhere. There really isn’t anything wrong with owning a gun responsibly. The problem we don’t have laws that keep bad actors out and the gun lobby turns every reasonable law proposal into some giant conspiracy theory about how the government is trying to harm gun owners. The NRA is pure evil. It’s a shill for gun manufacturers to sell excessive amounts of guns without accountability. The results is death and injury for nothing other than sales.
It's is also worth considering that carrying a gun diminishes men. To a man with a hammer, everything looks like a nail. Conflict resolution is a learned skill that needs to be practiced. Shortcutting to moving your hand to your carry and getting even more mouthy is just rubbish.
Imagine if guns were treated like cars, businesses or food trucks which require you meet some standards before you can operate one...
Exactly. It’s not even like most lawful gun owners aren’t familiar with basic responsibilities being asked for. It’s the NRA tricking them with fear and lies.
Some Chicago politicians , in agreement with you, feel they should teach inner city grade schools students about gun safety and let then shoot at a range... Now these children learn about guns from the local gang members
Forget about guns.... Ted Cruz keeping you safe from Dildos Thanks to Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz, there are more restrictive laws on owning sex toys in Texas than there are on guns. According to Section 43.23 of the Texas penal code, people are forbidden from having more than six "obscene devices" in their possession. In fact, the law states that those who possess them "or similar obscene articles is presumed to possess them with intent to promote the same.”
you are talking about criminals getting guns illegally... we are talking about school shootings where 18-21 year olds with some highly questionable behavior are able to walk in and get AR15s with no requirements legally. stay on topic.
I replied directly to your comment that talked about meeting some standard Imagine if guns were treated like cars, businesses or food trucks which require you meet some standards before you can operate one... Lets get all kids into gun training, so they are not in awe when a gang member lets them try their gun
