I'm now starting to understand why Governor Abbott is so fearful of all those illegal immigrants coming into his state from Mexico.

Governor Abbott Texas Gun Law Changes that he signed into law:

2015: College campus gun carry allowed

2019: Weapons in places of worship allowed

2021: Crime to lie on background check to illegally purchase a gun

2021: Permitless carry for any Texan

His law in 2015 and the Permitless carry law would scare me enough that if I lived in Texas...I'll move from that state considering everybody is freaked out about illegal immigrants that are criminals and crossing the border.

What the fuck does that mean about the College campus gun carry law. Does that mean students can bring their guns into class or must put the guns away in their backpack when they enter the classroom or maybe universities in Texas have gun racks in each classroom ???

It's a shame that Rick retired.

  2. We need to stop comparing other countries and guns to U.S. and guns. We are a different culture altogether.

Our history is farmers picking up rifles to fight in a few wars, the Wild West Cowboy with his 6 shooters fighting bad hombres in the streets and shootouts at corrals, posses going out to hunt people either as criminals or property, the constant glorification of the westerns and cowboys, Dirty Harry cop cliches in hundreds of movies, gangstas portrayed as the likeable ones from Mafia to Crips, the pioneers who hunted simply to feed families etc. etc.

Other countries don't have this gun history or glorification of the weapon as a s ymbol of their patriotism. Even in China the kung fu movies glorified one to one combat fighting oppression (the Han v. Manchus in Shaw Bros pitcures is basically the same as our Revlotionary War period heroes).

Guns are so ingrained in American culture and history that you cannot touch them. People get on their soapboxes about being armed against the government but we all know that is bullshit because the "people" never amred themselves to battle Congress haha... what a joke.

People like Cruz and Abbot are just paper thin pussies on the right (yes we have left side paper pussies too but they exist on other issues like immigration) who mouth the mantra because they know saying the word gun in a negative light means no $$$$$$.

In one week the media will cycle on, the right will claim they defended the right of 18 year olds to buy AR15s and large mag clips, and the next school shooting is around the corner because the doors are not locked or the teachers are not armed....

I always supported handguns for defense and rifles for hunting. I never met anyone who owned AR15s that bought them for the same reasons (like if someone breaks into your house or car you are going to wield an AR15 running through your house at night). usually it is people who need to show off guns because... well guns... or have Call of Duty fetishes/fantasies.

Maybe AR15s should only be allowed at ranges and they remain locked up for shooting practice. But 18- 21 year olds have mainly used them for violence and death.

So because of that the killings in the US are acceptable???? Tell that to the families who lost family members in the thousands of shootings in the US. In the US that is apparently normal.

So killing people in the US is called a "culture"???

South American countries are different too. They have for decades wars and killings in the drug producing scene, so that is acceptable too.

So terrorizing and abusing their population is also acceptable. North Korea and all other countries that are controled by dictators do this for decades too.

No, this is exactly what you need to do. End the irrational gun culture and reform yourself over time. It's not working out the data is overwhelming.

  10. Dude..... take a deep breath..

all I said was we cant compare our gun deaths to sweden because we hav a more violent culture than them. We are by far the worst country in this respect so it is useless to ask why has England or Australia dealt with mass shootings better. because they dont have the same culture of guns embedded in their politicians. We have politicians entrenched into this violent gun culture so where Australia ended mass shootings after thier first big one, the U.S. will never succeed because in places like Texas they consider guns like an extension of their body.

And yes....we have a violent country
