Pretty sure the gun laws are strong in Chicago. https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/new...younger-have-been-shot-in-chicago-since-2021/
In the last 24 hours since the Uvalde massacre, Fox News has proposed at least 50 "solutions" and none of them are gun control. In the last 24 hours left media have proposed one solution and it only involves guns
The SRO would have had access and been familiar with the school. The SRO would have also engaged the intruder, and if there were a single point of entry, they could have resisted the shooter long enough for pursuing law enforcement to take him out. The whole thing was bungled. No SRO there, no single point of entry.
That isn't what I asked. I asked specifically if other countries who had policies that "Worked" as you claimed also had the same number of guns in circulation.
You wanna get pissed about something? This shit needs to be investigated immediately. Cops that did not engage - assuming that is what happened - should be held under criminal charges. I don't know what exactly happened yet, but a full FEDERAL investigation should be done on everyone all the way up to the highest cop in the land. If you are an officer and you don't immediately and unconditionally engage to protect children, go find another fucking job.
Around and around we go. No. No country as the amount of privately owned guns as America. The last I checked for every 100 people there is 120 guns. That is off of the charts bananas amounts of guns. And you don’t need to put worked in quotes, there is no doubt virtually every other western country has a gun regulation scheme that works.
Yup. We know the right will throw anything out there besides the measures we know will work. Tou guys don’t seem to understand that it’s the amount of guns that is the problem. You’re suffering from the boiled frog syndrome. Things are changing dramatically but you can’t notice because it’s a slow progression. Very similar to climate change. Keeping all conditions the same will only grow the problem. We can look forward to a future of more gun violence almost every year, year after year until we get sensible regulations.
