For a starter --- Let's take a look at what politicians in Texas say about guns.

Sadly this will soon be a required back -to-school accessory...

Trump to address NRA convention in Texas — only days after school shooting massacre: report

Donald Trump is scheduled to address the National Rifle Association (NRA) national meeting in Houston only days after a school shooting massacre in Uvalde, Texas.

On Tuesday, a gunman killed 14 children and a teacher in Robb Elementary School. Police reportedly killed the suspect, an 18-year-old man.

The shooting occurred only ten days after the mass shooting at a supermarket in Buffalo, New York.

On Friday, Trump is scheduled to address the NRA's annual meeting for the 6th time, posting a video of Trump discussing his "love" for the organization.

The group says the exhibit hall "will showcase over 14 acres of the latest guns and gear from the most popular companies in the industry."

"From entertainment to special events, it’s all happening in Houston over Memorial Day weekend. Make plans now to join fellow Second Amendment patriots for a freedom-filled weekend for the entire family as we celebrate Freedom, Firearms, and the Second Amendment!" the NRA says.

Once again the question becomes why didn't someone intervene before Salvador Ramos went and shot up a school.

Probably the same reasons as here at Elitetrader.com because we have a "gun thread" here involving members posting picks of their guns.

Not an issue but what happens if a few crazy/psychotic members at this forum that have openly threatened other ET members including trying to determine where they live, where their spouse works, and so on...
    • What should ET management do when those members start posting their gun pics in ET's gun thread ???
I say nothing can be done about it because people are fucked up in this world and here at ET. There's nothing that can be done about it.
    • Yet, the next time someone asks you where you live and it's one of those known trolls here at ET....just tell them to fuck off as I do especially if its someone that's trolling you or has trolled you in the past. :wtf:
I've documented about four ET trolls that have consistently stalked/trolled other ET members that included them asking other members about "personal data" about those they're stalking/trolling here at ET. That's fucked up.

Too many of these idiots using social media to do their stalking out in front of everyone's eyes and owners of these social media are primarily deaf to it because they feel people have the right to free speech.

Serious, there's nothing that can be done about it but social media has attracted and increased psychosis in some people especially young teenagers coming out of this Pandemic...individuals that should not be allowed to own a gun.

Adults should ensure their weapons are properly locked up in a gun safe if they suspect their teen if off the wall...using social media to troll others and brag about shooting people.

I've said this before...there will come a day that shooting/murdering elementary children at school will become a new normal. Unfortunately, the crazies in each political party will began posting their "gun ownership" pictures online and talking about their right to bear arms...

Maybe show a few pics with their children holding weapons too as if its the new type of family pic. The sick ones will do such soon after a mass shooting to make sure they get their message out.

    ----------

A total of 22 gun laws that include a permitless carry law were signed by Governor Abbott, clearly making a statement of how much he loves the Second Ammendment. Texas and five other states are considered 'Second Amendment sanctuaries' for having such permissive gun laws.

    ----------

Now expect more mass shootings in the future of elementary school children in those other 5 states that plan to have the same permissive gun laws like Texas.

The publicity these incidents get creates a feedback loop for copycat killers. Any loser can make himself famous, get a Presidential speech and be headlined in the news for weeks.
