Why would it make a difference? And how do you know?

He was guilty of sneaking out of the house. No kid has ever done that before.
Let me guess, you know this because he was Latino, and lived in Chicago. Had he been a White kid, in your neighborhood, then he wouldn't necessary had been a gang banger.

    A. With a 21 year old felon who had a gun. Yeah, seems like simply sneaking out of the house. WTF.

    B. Yes simple deductive reasoning. Crime riddled area with gangbangers galore, who are mostly Hispanic and he was hanging with an Hispanic felon. To conclude differently would just be dumb.

    C. Bodycam video along with other video evidence.

Care to be wrong about anything else this morning?

Relax Nancy. The quote I responded to questioned the kid's innocence. What was he guilty of? Sneaking out of the house? Or has there been evidence presented that he was guilty of something other than what a lot of kids do?
    You live on his block?
As others have also stated, I didn't see him with a gun. Did you?

  5. As I stated in a earlier post I was watching local news yesterday evening, ABC Chicago to be exact. They were showing video footage, not just of the shooting itself. The footage clearly showed the kid and his adult companion firing a weapon, 8 shots to be exact. It is not known exactly what they were firing at. Police rolled up a couple minutes later and the chase began. This is not body cam video, but street surveillance video which pretty much covers every square inch of Chicago. The kid was carrying the gun in his right hand. Three lawyers were interviewed in the news footage I watched. All three, including the family lawyern concluedc that the kid had a gun while the chase was on. He dumped the gun .8 seconds, (this too on video and acknowledged by all parties) and then turned and was apparently attempting to surrender. The cop reacted quickly in the less than a second he had and fired. Was it too quickly? A jury will decide.
The rest, as someone already stated is simple reasoning. Kid out at 2AM with a adult gangbanger and shooting at something, more than likely someone in another gang. Sorry, not your average little boy. Not in that neighborhood and not in these times. Run with a gang...end up dead or in prison. It's life in the hood.

  6. This is a question I bet no one in the media will have the guts to ask unfrotunately because it looks like we are using that as a way of saying he deserved to be shot... of course no but then again.... being out at 2AM with a gun certainly increases your odds exponentially of getting shot by someone eventually....

I am sure the parents will go on TV crying over the loss of their son but at what point will they also admit how fucked up it is that a 13 year old was outside at 2 AM with a 21 year old with guns and firing (police responded to shots fired).

How did a 13 year old get a gun in the first place? Simple...

There’s too many guns in this country.

They are everywhere and there is no accountability from gun manufacturers, no responsibility for purchases.

We are diseased with guns in America.

  8. A good question. Yes, it's far too easy for a kid to get his hands on a gun. Lots of laws on the book already which are completely ignored. It's complicated and it's not just the availability of guns. It's also the environment these kids grow up in. The lure of the gang is waiting around every corner. It's enticing for young people who see a bleak future for themselves. Gang recruitment starts early, like really early, 6, 7 years old. By their teenage years these are some hard ass MF'ers and deadly as hell. There's plenty of blame to go around with no easy solution, no quick fix. I feel sorry for the kid regardless. His destiny was set from birth. People say choices have consequences. To say he, or they "choose" this life is a gross over simplification, but to address your gun question and proposed solution. That too is a gross over simplification.

    Everybody at fault here...

Gun manufacturers, lazy gun control laws, Police shooting after he sees the kid has his hands raised up, kid running from police, 21 year old out at 2:30am in the morning with the kid and the mom not knowing her child is out on the Chicago streets at 2:30am in the morning.

Crazy shit happening as America is coming out of a Pandemic. Maybe there's neurological or psychiatric problems for Americans (the world) while coming out of this Pandemic...dangerous for those that own guns because they need help ???

    Something to Contemplate

  10. QUESTION:

The victim was told to drop the gun or whatever and he dropped the gun and turned around with his hands up and the flashlight clearly shows his hands empty.

So for all of those people who say just comply with the police orders and give up and you won't get shot, but he got shot.

He should have been told to lie on the ground and then handcuffed and he would be alive but taken into custody and charged with some crimes.

But the cops acted as judge and jury in that instant and killed him.

So if people listen and comply and surrender and still get killed, what more is required to have the cops stop giving out death sentences.

Does not matter if the kid was committing a crime and out at 2 AM, he was going to be arrested and charged like the other guy who was with him. He deserved to be caught and go to juvenile detention at best.

This is the part that bothers me, cops keep moving the goalposts on what you are suppoed to do to not get shot. Don't resist arrest or flee and you don't get shot. give yourself up with no weapon and still get shot...
