This new "regulation" isn't going to break business anymore than the other ones didn't break them. Businesses will adapt. It is the people, the employees, who will suffer from this particular one.

I can't help but picture you sitting there trying desperately to come up with reasons to support Obamacare, while deep down you know how absurd the law is. Yes, you want comprehensive health care. I can respect that. But this Affordable Care Act is so rancid that it's own supporters are pulling out from it as fast as they humanly can. And you're there trying to say it doesn't hurt American businesses.

Is this a team thing, Ricter?

  4. Of course.

Employees will be told, "you're part-time with no healthcare benefits.. thanks to the government (Odumbocare)"

It will be the same nearly everywhere, so workers will just have to lump it.

In reality I'm thinking that if other nations (and some states) can make it work, then how pathetic is the right in this country.

the Republicans did not cast a single vote for Obamacare.
Had it been single payer where probably would have been a few dozens Republican votes.

this was the left being purchased by insurance companies and Obama Pelosi and Reid paying off their campaign bribers.

Yeah, it's just too bad that's not an apples to apples comparison.

Fair enough. I agree with jem's argument above, that Obamacare is not socialistic enough (so it's not fair to compare it, either).

Well it seems to me you can't really have socialized medicine and leave the insurance companies in charge and allow doctors to make 500,000 a year. The current concept is nuts. You would need to have one or the other. You can't have the govt paying for things and insurance companies making more profits?

On wall street we socialize the losses but let the massive profits go to a few.

In medicine we are doing the same thing.

This is not socialism or capitalism... it is theft, aided and abetted by really slimely scumbag the politicians who voted for it (perhaps in even caused it. I can't wait to see Baucus' job after he retires.)

Fine. Then let's not compare it to anything, but simply point out the massive flaws it has, and how it will never work properly or as intended.
