vga extenders - as in extra long cable? - are a really bad idea... they seriously degrade the quality of the screen. just go to bestbuy and look at their fuzzy screens and ull know what i mean.
i just bought a compaq SR1630NX. google that. you'll see the spec it has an integrated ATI graphics card. the BIOS has an options to select primary video card. in my case, i can select from Onboard, PCI, PCI-E. with the video cards config i mentioned above, I did not experience any problem using it on 4 LCD, 3 of which are analog. I did use 1 DVI -> VGA adapter
Ok thanks. Interesting that the integrated ATI set didn't cause problems with the nvidia cards. Auto-bypass or something, I guess. The card I am looking at now is the 5200 256Mb or the 5700.
