So who do you suggest should be let in and who should be rejected in your humble opinion?

Lol, no other developed nation is more fractured, with multiple clusters, with special interest groups, super pacs, and lobbyists than the US. I would say judging from your post your founding fathers fucked up big time.

By the way if you paid the slightest attention in history class you would remember that pretty much all early US politicians were either merchants or business men of different flavors. From the very beginning the system was designed to benefit the old school, rich, and influential. What do you again call that in today's parlance? Oh right, the establishment.

  3. Your stats on this please? "Most" People facing knife attack opting out of using deadly force??? I disagree with you. I believe, but will stop short of stating it as fact, that even MOST sheeple people here would opt for deadly force.

  4. OhSleeping1... For me and other folks I talk to on the conservative side of the isle we are up for a moratorium (time out of sorts) on immigration. We need to get a handle on the situation before we start the well filtered trickle and eventual flow into our borders again. We want real information on the devastation done by years of law violating open border mandates. We want to establish genuine background checks, standards, and real safeguards in the immigration system. We need to listen to practical advice from Border Patrol agents, those in the trenches, and FIX the SYSTEM that has been deliberately broken over so many years. So a pause on immigration is in order. It's NOT that we're xenophobic or some such nonsense; it's merely what the Country needs because the system has been dismantled and mishandled.

Because most in this world carry a concealed gun right? Which deadly force otherwise then? In almost all cases confronting an aggressor calmly and trying to de-escalate is what is recommended in self defense classes and what common sense tells you. That includes to sometimes take a hike or better run.

Civilians who run around with a gun seem to have some rather peculiar issues. In the US it is their right, why they do it I have no clue. Maybe they attract shady characters. Maybe they feel the need to drive with a sportscar through slum town. Maybe their attitude makes others go "I wanna punch you in the face". Whatever it is they apparently feel threatened in public and stand ready to pull the trigger on others.

Let's see what will happen to your pension account and investments and prices of tomatoes and grapes and what have you if you locked up all borders tomorrow. No more Mexican farm workers, no more high tech engineers and developers from Scandinavia and China. Of course the same applies to Americans abroad. No more visa and no new hires of American traders in Hongkong, Singapore, Japan, no more American expats that are sent and deployed around the world. I tell you, your economy is gonna falter like a house of cards.

But hey, at least you can now fix your immigration system.

  7. That's fairly true. It's that "known" proclivity to defend ourselves with just a touch of arrogance and paranoia that has pretty much kept Ricter safe in Canada for many years, in addition to us. Here's hoping we can get that arrogance and paranoia ramped up enough to reverberate globally like in Reagan's era... as we Make America Great Again!

Pension accounts are near ruin as a result of insane central bank policies supported by nitwit leftists, and now the stock mkt has taken off like a rocket and it's unmistakenly as a result of the 'surprise' election of Trump.
Iow, pretty much everything in your worldview has been shown to be dead wrong and it's resulting in severe cognitive dissonance on the part of people like you.
