Which of course begs the question which skunk and junkie joints you frequent to fear for your life to be threatened by a knife wielding enemy.

At least I have never ever been threatened by anyone with a knife in my many years in America. But then we could of course all arm ourselves because there is a tiny chance that a meteorite drops down and we need to pulverize the enemy.

Again a total flawed line of argumentation. Yes you could stop anyone from entering your country. You then effectively shut out any potential alien criminal. You also shut out all other business with the outside world and shut out all talent your country needs because it has a lack of such (else it would not hire and bring in foreign talent in the first place). The cost of a shut down to society will be immensely greater than dealing with a few criminals that slipped through the net.

I am fine with everyone here who is already a citizen. They are citizens just like me.
But... we have to educate foolish lefties. One of the major problems with the way we allow immigration now is it creates more democrats.

    But... now to your post..

    1. That is the most ridiculous post I have seen on this subject I have read.

What was the cost of 911 to this country in terms of lives war and spending? There is no words for you utter leftist drone foolishiness.

    2. What is the cost on wages when you allow over a million people per year into the country.

    3. In 2012, 51 percent of households headed by an immigrant (legal or illegal) reported that they used at least one welfare program during the year, compared to 30 percent of native households. Welfare in this study includes Medicaid and cash, food, and housing programs.

    and that is reported...

you can learn many more stats to show how wrong you were here..

I was pointing out the flaw in your buddies statement about making population assumptions.
its just basically common sense that if you catch half or less than half of the perps and some perps live in your area and some perps live in other countries you might not get a good read on what percent of crimes were committed by locals vs foreigners.

If you don't naturally understand that... there is a problem.

Yet you did accuse me of being a "closet voter" (still trying to figure out what that is) and brought me into a discussion on Trump in regards to my vote. Additionally, who you are and where you are from is very relevant if you want to continue to trash the US on an American political forum. Avoiding answering these questions just further serves to support the belief we have that you're embarrassed about the hell hole you live in.

Sorry, wrong again. My response to the Trump claim about millions of illegal voters is right here

Saw this over the weekend. What an asinine thing to say. Someone needs to take his Twitter account from him. Millions of illegal votes. I'll go for the idea that there are certainly some illegal votes being cast, but millions? No F'ing way.
So not sure how you can claim I am "approving" of what Trump said when I said precisely the opposite. Would you like to try again?

I do take issue with his statements. See the above for example number one, and see the thread about jailing flag burners as example number two just today.

But regardless of the issues I have with Trump, he was elected and he is my President.

You misunderstand (a frequent problem of yours). I don't fear for my life at all. I carry concealed. Perhaps you think Ohio State University is a "skunk and junkie joint" (whatever that means)?

Ah, so you live here, then? Or rather, you did live here? In the land you despise so much?

Concealed carry is for precisely that purpose. To protect oneself against possible attack. It's far more likely than a meteorite strike. If you were an American, you'd understand that.

That a Republican decides to go ballistic and wage a practically third world war and created modern Islamic terrorism just because of one terrorist attack in which a few thousand died is certainly not the fault of immigrants. Certainly not the fault of upstanding and hardworking and successful immigrants. You may want to check on those bits called historical facts.

And which wages? The wages of barrista and low skilled labor? Well they would go down. They would also go down without any immigrants due to automation and AI advances. And of course you would not have an American Google or Facebook as almost all their engineers and top developers are first generation immigrants or guest workers (on employment visa).

It's the stupidity of your system whom you allow to be eligible for social welfare and whom not. You can't blame those who take advantage of what's offered right? Or did you blame Trump for abusing the tax code like a cheap whore?

    1. if you read the article we saw on another thread today you would see Kalid Sheik Mohommed stated if Bush had not acted so swiftly and strongly al queda they had plans for further terrorist attacks. But... its not just the expense its the lives taken. There is no calculus which I see that says lets take in more immigrants even if they only kill 1000 people. One death is too many.

    2. Okay so if wages are going down anyway because of more automation... why are we bring a million immigrants into the country. If you argue its for humanitarian reasons. We could do that much more efficiently in their home countries.

    3. We are bringing them here because the Walmart type ceos and founders want more people on govt handouts shopping in their stores and voting for more socialists / crony run forms of govt.

Do you understand there is no point to bringing in more immigrants if we dont have jobs for them? We can help them at home for far less money. We could also save the environment because when they come here there carbon footprint goes up 10 times.

Finally and I want you to reply to this... How can you argue with this...

We do blame the system. I believe we need more workfare less welfare. We need to eliminate the benefits cliffs so people are encouraged to seek jobs if they are able bodied and we need to halt immigration til we have better jobs and wages and can screen out terrorists.
