I don't have a gun in this scenario, like I said, I have it covered. And neither do I need one, because Canada is largely a safe space. That's the point, and the irony, you feel in danger because of the ubiquity of guns, so you feel the need to carry a gun, which makes it worse.
... To make sure you have a decent green tea at your disposal to brew in order to celebrate the upcoming victory.
How would you even know what "folks I am" given you have lived in the closet for close to a year hiding your true preferences for presidential candidate?
I guess anyone for a flash moment may sense the urgency and importance of truths and facts in an insane world. It can happen to any of us.
He's correct about the first thing you understand when you're facing an attacker who has a blade (and you can't run away), you're going to get cut. But when you're well trained in defense v. blades (thus you'll know offense too, btw), you decide where you're not going to get cut. So there's no need to panic. I realized years ago, after more than two decades of training, that the scenarios I was designing were increasingly unlikely to occur in even two of my lifetimes. And being attacked by a guy with a knife is even more probable than being attacked by a guy with a gun, and both are far less probable than being attacked by a guy with only fists. This instant escalation to deadly force in every crisis in the US is pathetic and a form of mental illness.
I cannot agree more. I am in my early 40s and have never in my life been involved in a close range situation with anyone who wanted to send me to the other side of the aisle. Nobody wanted to fist fight, stab, or shoot me. Now, I have been around quite a little bit, lived in and visited most likely many more countries than TsingTao, I had my crazy moments as teen, done stupid things or had a loose tongue at times as young adult. At some point most every sane adult realizes one thing: 99% of precarious situations with dodgy characters can be avoided by simply making wise choices of where and when one goes places. In the remaining 1% one has feet to run and/or voice and mouth to talk oneself out of an apparent checkmate. One does not have to be a coward to avoid confrontations that may end up in physical harm, but one may need a cool head and be of above average intellect and intelligence. Noticed on thing in the above? Not at any point came guns into play. And if I get attacked by someone pointing a gun at me I gladly hand over my little cash at hand and credit card after which I call the cops to do their investigative work and my credit card company to block my existing card and issue me a new one. People have managed for thousands of years without guns, it's only a few diehards that insist this world needs guns for self defense. And what's the always cited situation by our conservative friends: of course, cute wife, the good son and daughter all held at point range and good hubby threatened to do what is being asked, else the whole family will first be gang raped and then annihilated. That supposedly happens in the lives of our conservative neighbors every week.
You're the one who's mentally ill, Judy. To expect people to face the possible consequences of a knife attack and not respond with deadly force is the height of idiocy.
Just funny most everyone in this world disagrees with you. Seriously, out of which Wild West Kitsch Flick did you just run out of?
