Hey... "hysterical fever pitch of animosity"... Nice hyperbole. My guess is it's cause people come here to dwell on trading and not to deal with what turned out to be an egocentric ridiculousness of splendiforous magnitude. That's my hyperbole! Too bad he couldn't be serious, my next thought for him was to take his selections and apply a technical method to them for stops. That would've required more attention from him as the stocks getting stopped out from time to time would create openings for new opportunities sooner than with his regular method that he'd have to provide, but you'd have to be serious to some degree to see that kind of a project through.
Don't be too quick to close it. MrMarket will probably be back as soon as the market rallies again and pulls his dogs up out of the basement. With an ego like his do you think he can stay away for long?? HE IS "HUGE"!!!
When you come to a new message board , and start with a lie like "I have 53 consecutive winners of 15% or more", it's easy to get people mad at you. I would like to think that people have their words, and you would like to believe people are being honest. However, starting with a lie is really not the way to go, here on ET, or with anyone for that matter. You don't introduce yourself to others with a lie. It will never work, here and in life.
A prime example, from the horses mouth no less, of what his real motive on ET was, to promote his own website. If he wants to do that, he can pay for advertising. I believe that's the policy we all agreed to.
I would have thought the normal reaction to MrMarket's obviously tongue-in-cheek boasting would have been to laugh.
ITS NOT TRUE......MM didnt run away did he? Comon, he was my example of Wharton Business Grads. Damn. I guess I need to find another fool.
He didn't want to be here if he was relegated to "journals". Magna wouldn't have allowed him to pimp his website, which was his ONLY objective here.
So you KNEW that he wasn't being serious from the start. How'd you know that? You have a crystal ball? He seemed quite serious about his streak, until the truth was exposed by the ET members. So I have no idea how you KNEW it was "obvious tongue-in-cheek" boasting. Shall we bring up the original thread, and see how mr. market aggressively touted his claims as real? Looks like he was dead serous about misleading people.
