Weaponry worship. Built right into the Constitution, or so some rogue interpreters will have you believe. No real safety net for people with mental health issues. All masked in the glories of the Second Amendment. If the Second Amendment were not so glorified, then I think the ramblings of these crazies would be even more obvious. But there's apparently a certain amount of patriotism in minor ramblings about gun love and usage. So the cut-off point is less distinguishable.
I think maybe access to guns, and especially those of a certain variety, might also have played a small role...
Yeah, Americans care about tax cuts, not people being shot on the street and rogue presidents attempting coups of incoming administrations.
You think maybe the expiry of the assault weapon ban played a role? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_Assault_Weapons_Ban
its a culture problem, breakdown of the family structure, violent music all day long on youtube (brainwashing), realistic shootem up video games (early training). social media ego hyping all day everyday (gotta one up the next guy). add all that up, you get unstable teens and young adults with easy access to guns. thats your problem.
If you need the bible for a moral compass then you are lost. Empathy is not found in a book. If it were, then so many members of the clergy would not have done unspeakable things to minors.
