I've only done supplemental protein via whole egg (powder) for years. My sons eat 4-6 raw eggs (blended) each day.
I don't have it in the morning either. I prefer a hard-boiled egg as an afternoon snack with a couple of tablespoons of beans, my small homemade trail mix of walnuts, roasted pumpkin seeds and raisins, and an apple. Hits the spot.
I used to supplement with egg white powder for some years before whey became big. The gas gave me quite a kill radius. I was ahead of my time on social distancing.
The lobby for the egg industry is VERY POWERFUL. Eggs are good if you like to eat baby chicken placentas.
I did a food sensitivity test a couple of months ago, and guess what was my in my top 3? Egg whites. Go figure. I haven't had a single egg since then.
No, but I don't have a problem with high BP or cholesterol. Currently I'm eating about 8 per week. I would think more than 3 daily wouldn't be the best for long term heart health.
Did you have any reaction to eggs when you ate them? I ask because you seem surprised by the results of the allergy test.
It depends on how much I had. If was just an egg on a sandwich or something like that, I can't say I really noticed anything crazy. But when I went through periodic phases where I was eating egg white omelets every day, I noticed that my stomach did not like that at all. And the longer I did it, the worse I felt.
