ok eqt, have a great time, but make sure you check in from a charming internet cafe..I don't think I can go a week without hearing how great you are.
How does anyone make money at trading? I can't, I suck. I am trading on paper but still cannot make any money at all even on fake trades. This must be the paper profits that everyone speaks.
But most corrections usually begin suddenly without warning signs. Feb 2007 -Who had their eye on Chinese stocks? What makes me worried is that everyday you hear talk of the risk of a meltup -which means we are probably looking in the wrong direction... I am happy being on the sidelines in US stocks ----for now.
But Feb 27th wasn't a correction. It was merely a dip. The summer 2006 sell off was a correction and it was triggered by uncertainty over interest rates.
But you said correction earlier it is defined as 10% or more http://www.investopedia.com/terms/c/correction.asp Feb 27th was a 3.5% dip triggered by China. Unexpected, yes, but not a correction.
I trade all asset classes and in my book any move against the primary trend is a correction. Most pro's wouldn't refer to investopedia....
I'm just giving you the most widely accepted definition. Obviously you can create your own if you want.
