I have to think the most courageous people in the country must live in Texas. I recall when those two muslims decided it would be a good idea to shoot up the mohammed cartoon contest. They were armed to the teeth but they didn't count on encountering a lone texas deputy who pulled his service weapon and gunned them down. Now this horror. According to reports a 55 year old plumber, Stephen Williford, heard there was trouble at the church and grabbed his rifle and headed over there. He confronted the shooter and shot him but the shooter was able to drive off. Johnnie Langendorff happened by in his SUV and Williford explained what had happened and they of course took off after the shooter, because in Texas that is what a man fucking does. They reached speeds of 95 MPH and eventually forced him off the road. They kept him covered until police arrived. Two heroes. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/texas-shooting-sutherland-springs-victims-11474683
Christ the medias reporting on this is pitiful. The guy did not have a dishonorable discharge, he had a bad conduct discharge. There is a difference. A bad conduct discharge does not necessarily preclude someone from legally owning a firearm, UNLESS the court martial includes a domestic violence conviction, which it did in this case. That means this guy purchased a firearm and the background check system failed to work. That's problem one. Problem two, this nutcase had a continuing history of domestic violence and making threats against his in-laws and others. Why weren't the police leaning on this dude? Why wasn't his sorry ass in a prison cell? Frankly, anyone with a domestic violence conviction should be arrested and incarcerated should any further threats made. The system failed and 26 people are dead.
