This is the rambling of a person who is so afraid of non-existence, they will believe in anything to hope that it is not their true fate, without even contemplating how fucking horrible "eternal life" really is. Do you have any concept of infinity? Can you possibly imagine even an inkling of how painful a hell eternal life would be? Imagine wanting to rest but not being able to, for ever and ever? You obviously have not engaged in these thought experiments the Bible has given you to perform. AND...Here's the real kicker... Since you keep banging on about how we are redeemed through Christ and will have eternal life by not being able to sin any more, because it was our free-will that got Jesus into his troubles, thus causing him to get nailed to a tree for our sins... We will be sin-free in Heaven, as we are now with Him. Know what that means? No more free will! So we live an eternal life in Heaven doing not what we want, but what God demands. Where's the fun in that? Isn't that called slavery? No more free will? Pshhhaw!
Welp, biff that dumb quote into the garbage, I could write a book to refute that theory from experience.
The problem with studentoftheBible, is he never really defined for himself what "sin" means. Sin, sin, sin. He has no idea.
Maybe God deliberately made humans vulnerable and Satan off the chain to tempt us as an example to the angels, like; "Watch angels whats going on with that clusterfuck, that's where you'll be if you step out of line". Now Martians travelling who are around in their UFO's might be reincarnated humans at a higher level, coming down for a reminder peek a boo. Wot ya think studentoftheuniverse?
Well, the Bible doesn't exactly address that issue. It does say there will be no more sorrow and a lot of joy. Happy slavery? The Bible says we will be like Jesus in His resurrected body. I can speculate and say I think we will have free choice but never want to rebel. I am just relieved to know that Jesus is said to be our High Priest forever, so no matter what the future holds, He will always continue in that role, so I don't have to fear that sin will ever separate between me and God again.
But what I really like about the bible is the fear it generates. I like it we can live our 3 score years and 10 in fear.
I think that God created people fully good but in such a way that we could deliberately choose freely to depart from Him. IF God were to be at fault for Satan's rebellion or people's sins and rebellion, then how is it that He is going to judge righteously? He can be a righteous Judge only because He is thoroughly righteous. Think of it this way: the only reason sin bothers God so much is that He is perfect. If He wasn't a perfect Being then why would sin bother Him? However, if He wasn't Perfect, that would be scary. You know the saying, "Absolute power corrupts absolutely." That saying is true for people, but not true for God. God is able to be fully trusted because He intrinsically has eternal, unchanging, thoroughly good qualities. The only reason I trust Him is because He is entirely good. Your eyes are too pure to look upon evil, and You cannot tolerate wrongdoing. Hab 1:13
NO, that is NOT true! There's a lot of fear in this world, but Jesus offers love, peace, joy, and friendship!!!!! There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. 1 John 4:18
You simply have not lived enough life to get your head out the that stupid book and look around, and understand the reality you exist in. It has nothing to do with a single deity. It has to do with your mind. YOU are your own reality. There is no entity creating it for you.
