Some people view their work as a calling. For others it's just a way to make money. To each their own, I think.
Possible. Exactly which calling I am not sure. You mean like the Musk fan crowd claims how Musk is gonna save the world with Tesla and explores space for us? I have a different take on this but that's another topic. Though it begs curiosity how many, who claimed their work was their calling, buy themselves naming rights at universities and set themselves statues before they die. There seems to be an inherent fear to be forgotten, perhaps they misinterpreted their true calling. Agree with you however, to each their own.
Good read; i was thinking about his name ''Ketchum Trading''early this week + bought some Ketchup[aka catsup]. I remember in his top trading interview,[Jack Schwager ]he said he was the ''slowest market maker....'' With the way some stocks can trend-that can be a good thing.76 is young for some people if not overweight, dont smoke+ have the wisdom..... to know health doesnt have much to do with a hospital/insurance co @ all.
When money is not enough, work is a way to make money. When money is enough, then humans will seek work that gives them higher satisfaction or what you say higher calling. It is unrealistic to seek work for higher satisfaction when money is not enough. This is what people who adopt the FIRE(financially free, retire early) movement should take note. When money is not enough, don't use the excuse of working for higher calling when your money is not enough.
Fantasy- if such a system existed within a couple of years it would have all the money in the world. systems fail all the time-algo's come across situations they cannot handle, mostly a bust-they only make money by front running
