I won million dollars playing a lottery this year! Ok, so not a lottery but a poker game. And not a million but about 20 bucks. And I lost, not won. That's all details. Does running an HFT book count as day trading?
I’ll answer Bob’s questions: Starting equity in your trading account in 2017? I can’t answer how much but I can say I started in July this year. Asset classes you traded? Stocks and Options on stocks and indexes Basic strategy? Buying Speculative Long Calls on companies I can’t afford Selling Naked Puts for companies I really want Credit spreads on companies and indexes YTD P/L? 19% since July Is that what you expected to make? No. I expected less. The speculative long calls have turned out really well. I purchased $105 SHOP Jan calls when Shop was $97 and Apple $170 Jan calls when Apple was down in the 160s for $5.8. Those turned out to be awesome. I’m not a day trader but I review my stuff every day. To give a sense of my trade sizes, I have 150 contracts on those Apple calls. Just today they have a PL of 15k and 35k since I opened the trade.
I am sorry but a 25 year old is a full grown adult not a kid. I consider a young person to be between 18-30. Or 18-35 at the max. Anyway please takethis conversation to another thread. Thank you.
Ha... really? Barely legal to drink... I've met plenty of 25 year olds that are more childish than some 15 year olds. It's all in the eyes of the beholder... why the max at 35? Is it because otherwise you would be giving in to Overnight eh?
I’m confused, does the OP want this thread to be an open forum of conversation? Let’s make this the new chit chat forum guys and make him happy!!!!
