grew up skating the Mt. Trashmore ramp in the 80's. Slayer was played on rotation with the very infrequent Metallica or Menace song thrown in. pretty much the only real metal I listen to is Slayer. the old stuff still sounds awesome!
Decendents rule! I saw ALL at the Electric Banana in Pittsburgh-- place held less than 100 people and hung on the side of a cliff. Thought the building would collapse that night-- some of the best pop punk ever! I skated trashmore in the 80's! Or I should say, I tried to skate trashmore-- i was mostly a street style guy-- but bought my first set of Kryptonics at a shop in VA Beach.
17th Street Surf Shop? I used to be a jump ramp kid BITD. Ha. I only really skated the Mt. Trashmore ramp regularly from '88- '90 and mostly just the metal mini when they built that. I always hated the fiberglass surface of the ramps before they went metal. I tended to skate Bayville before the metal. Slayer was about the only thing played at Bayville too.
