I lived thru that whole era ...I mean, me and my boys ...LIVED thru it. Getting past how that tune is cliche only for the volume of airplay it got, it would have to be near the top on any greatest songs ever written list. It has it all. Its changes make it like 3 different songs in one with transitions that contrast make sense next to each other. If you order a banana split you wouldn't get the same flavor ice cream across it all, thats what makes that tune not boring. Some whimsical touches in the drumming fills. All the current drummers worship Bonham the way guitarists worship Hendrix. And the guitar solo is perfectly composed from beginning to end ...it talks.
