Andy's Spread Trading Journal

  1. Hi Andy,

I just read your spread journal and am very impressed with your results. Just wondering where you are getting your spread ideas. I looked at Moore Research, but your spreads doesn't look like they come from their research. I am new to spreads so any pointer on selecting spreads would be appreciated.

  2. Hi Swingtrader,

I get all my ideas from Moores. Under "special spread charts" you can receive a lot of PDF's about all markets.

I go thru all the PDF's once a week to find some interesting trades.

    Happy trading,

    Andy

I did exit my ED spread yesterday:

    9 x GEM5 - GEM7 (GE is the elec. market of Eurodollars) at 1.17.

    Hyp. profit is $2,700 - $450 commission = +$2,250.

I am not going to trade next week because I will be on Honeymoon (I am getting married tomorrow 03/19).

Hi andy - hope the honeymoon was 1st class (i guess you'll read this on your return)

what was the reason for exiting the eurodollar spread? Had you hit a target (are these calculated based on margin as jr teaches?) or didnt you like the correction?

    cheers
