Hello Overnight, Great work sir. You are doing very well on the first screen shot. What does open swings mean?
Update from trade #22... Unbelievable, that Dow trade. I was wholly not expecting the Dow to lead the markets today, so considering that the roll is coming up, and I was in the very top of the day's range, I bailed on it for a few ticks. Had a 50ish tick target, but the move up exhausted itself by 2-3 PM. Trade 24 REALLY annoyed me because I saw where I should exit, but hesitated and wound up leaving 50% of the trade on the table. And keen-eyes readers will notice 25 and 26 was an average in. Left 20 points on the table on that one, but I just wanted to be flat this weekend. Been a long time being in that state on a weekend. Feels odd.
Update from trade #28... I entered a MES trade a few days ago, and was looking to let it ride today once SP broke 4300. It was up 30 points this morning, and I decided to let it ride, thinking we'd have a melt-up day being a Friday with little news and whatnot. Alas, at the 30-point mark it just wandered back down to mid-range of the day and stayed there. I'm looking for 40 points on it, and that may not happen until FOMC day Wednesday. We'll see.
Continuing from trade #32... The MES swing from last week settled out on Sunday evening. Some scalps here and there on the NDX but man, Thursday was something else. I kept waiting for a decent pull back but it just kept soaring. All three majors did. So today I felt we'd have a typical mid-morning drop and rise into the afternoon, and it was going all so well, trades started to go green, until... 1PM ET. That seems to be when everyone decided to quad-witch the bitch, bail with their profits, etc. So here's the opens I entered into this morning... When the action started getting squirrely in the afternoon, I just sat on hands to see if the MOC imbalance at 3:50 PM would give cause for another long entry. It didn't in my eyes, so considering we've got a three-day weekend upon us, again, just let it work.
Hello Overnight, Good work boss man. I see you doing your thing getting busy on that ES. I be tearing that ES up too everyday. Great work, and keep up good trading sir.
Continuing from trade #40... With the equities gone to shit last week, started focusing a bit more on oil, and took an oil trade yesterday. That's it. Trying to get a feel for it's movement again, and it still has a very nice range to trade in. Saw an opportunity for a long this morning at 8AMish, but neglected to take it. Alas. And if positions could talk...Man, what these could say about their roller-coaster fun... I get the feeling we'll have a bullish July, so will keep them going a bit more.
Hello Overnight, Good work sir. Good job. I have also been alot of success trading the ES futures market everday. My strategy is simple: Take my best guess on all entry and exit, gamble and have fun. And do not listen to anyone and stop seeking help and stop trying to learn more stuff.
Guessing and feeling are very good things in a trading plan and do not listen to anyone. ET is here to enjoy, EnterTainment forum.
