You have no idea in whose thread you are in, and you have no idea the nature of the people you are typing to. We have hearts and souls much larger than you know. The music you posted recently, just sux for "uplifting the soul".
Dude, all you have to remember is the energy we had when we spoke with VOX. That is a powerful energy. It is a barrier to all this fru-fru we are seeing. Yes, it has been over a year since we spoke on vox, but it sticks. I know you, and you know me. We are shielded by it. It is the same as how I and Baron have a shield. We spoke, I know what is and cannot be, and we have an understanding. There is always a music analogy, man.
Continuing from Trade#47... Um, no. At this point I think the database is truly corrupt, because trades 48 to 51 did not occur like that. I did not take any shorts. I took some small longs. I wish I could claim that profit, but no sir. Targets are not entries, and entries are not exits. UG!! Going to do a DB reset and repair, see how that works going forward. I DID, however, enter an MES trade, right at the peak on Tuesday, and had too high of a target. And it proceeded to drop 100 points that day, and is hovering. Stuck in number 2 now. *sighs* The year that keeps on giving.
Fucking incredible, isn't it. As an aside, I did a repair on the db, and it did not resolve the issue. So I figured I'd try to load up NT8 (after an update) after it's long hiatus and start the idea in my head of migration, but NOOO! Because it is being installed on a drive other than C: and has custom indicators, it decides to give me agida and won't load. So next is "resetting" the NT7 db, while I get on the horn next week with Ninjapoops to try to fix the NT8 issue.
When I'm trying to build a directional position for a swing, I use stops (I know, sounds stupid). So entry 1, stop 1... entry 2, stop 2, entry 3 stop 3. Sometimes an entry will get stopped out and that's OK, I just try again. I've also written a script to visualize where my stop will be before I take the entry to make sure it's where I want it to be. So rather than enter when price goes to where it goes, I don't enter until my stop is where I'd want it to be.
Here's what is really going to bake your noodle... Here is what happens when I look at the markets and use a standard ATM of my own design. This is in sim, of course, as you can tell by the account name... Isn't that just fucking annoying? And yes, in Sim, I took a fucking short! (It was a losing trade, but big deal) OMG. I have been swing trading too long. Also, I trimmed down the real money journal's range so you could see the last journal update properly... THAT is what actually happened, heh. In this pic it is from trade #3
Sometimes in the past I did worse in sim than live. So it is a trade-off. But in the end, I can conclusively conclude that on the favorite pattern I have found, which is dip in the morning followed by rise into afternoon, I do the best.
Another trick I picked up from another thread is I can only size up when I trade properly. So for every $10K in profit, I add an ES contract until I start getting too much slippage.
