I was thinking about your position earlier this week. For some reason I thought you had the March contracts on and had taken a loss already. Seems like you're still in the game. What's the plan, though? You just gonna hold this? You do any other trades at the moment?
It's this that made me switch to day trading. If I can't rely on the margin being consistent, then I can't rely on my strategies being backtested properly. On the other hand... Margins on forex have been remarkably consistent for a long time. Hmmm...
*SMACK!* Pay attention to the details! They've been showing the June contract since the January updates! OY! Nope. WYSIWYG.
It's really not that harsh of an increase. Scroll down to bottom of page 7. It technically IS less wiggle room, but it's not that much less wiggle room than before. https://www.cmegroup.com/content/dam/cmegroup/notices/clearing/2022/03/Chadv22-105.pdf
Yeah IB usually gives lower than overnight if your account is big enough but when volatility strikes, oh all of a sudden they can't do it. Day trading means I don't care about overnight anymore.
Apparently "They" do have a plan, but you don't . But seriously It is nice to see you getting at least some relief here.
Unfortunately, it's a double edge. It's not enough to kick-off a significant lightening of the shorts. Along with end of rollover, perhaps it did play a role in this weeks low-volume rally-mode though.
Hey uhhhhh.... Not trying to be all "I told you so"... but this one makes me about 25 for 25 on ES calls to you. Or pretty damn close. So whatever, ...what can I say. I know what I know. Experience? Nahhh. GVZ? Hmmm..? Maybe. Never know. And that was a big move kiddo.
The war in Ukraine is not over. Get over it. I know what is going to happen, because I am in the shit. This is not a bullish setup.
Oh ok, that fat lady hasn't sung. Got it. Here.... I predict TSLA will be at least $5000 by 2035. Dude... markets change near term. They go up, they go down. How many times in the last two weeks have I written the bias is down? But that doesn't matter when one knows in the next few days the bitch is gonna explode north. Right? Right. It's all good; but next time, just adjust your tone a little. You're welcome.
