    Hello

Nahhhh..... the whole system needs to start from scratch, with a voucher based system which makes shitty schools and shitty teachers pay the price for ruining the system. That way students and parents can choose schools based on how well they are doing instead of being forced to go to schools, where teachers are doing a horiffic job.

I dont even care if teachers keep their current ridiculously high salaries for working 8 months a year 6 hours a day, but tenure has to be eliminated, and they got to start paying in for their benefits. There is another stat from the documentary which says that only 1 in 3000 tenured teachers gets fired, that is absolutely absurd, if you cant even find 1 person out of every 100 who isnt doing their job properly when your school is graduating less then half its students, then it means you are just ignoring people who obviously arent doing their job.

There was even an example in this documentary where a good teacher wanted to start an after school gardening program on her own dime, and the teachers union wouldnt let her because it might catch on and create extra work for the other teachers.

Would performance be "graded on a curve" to account for poorer regions?

    Hello

Sure, an easy way to make teachers accountable would be simple, have students do standardised tests at the end of the year. If you are in the lowest 10% in your school in terms of proficiency by a student, you get 1 year probation, if you are in the lowest 10% again you are fired.

Or if you are in the lowest 10% by subject, same rules apply.

If your proficiency level by student is worse then 35% you automatically lose your job. Plus you have to go to town square for a public flogging.

  4. Governor Walkers Educational reform.
Wisconsin to enact 4 day school week.

    ---------------- Kid Concentration Camps ---------------------

Kids spend more time online and on that extra day off they can be virtual temps. Change the child labor laws and lets put them to work doing remedial tasks like filling out surveys, making campaign calls and clicking on google ads. With the extra $100 a day they generate they can pay for their own damn school.

.... brilliant Governor.. tell me more.

In fact, lets just make school an 8:00 - 6:00 affair and split the time 5 hours of classes and 5 hours of surveys and clicking ads. That's another $400. We can even double dip and charge the parents Kid Camp fees.

.... Wow that's a lot of of payola

Hmm... Next lets just take the 2K our kids generate for education and tell them it is their duty to pay down our national debt.
50 million kids x 2K = $1 Billion in tax free child labor money.

.... Stupendous idea - Hey Honey, Lets have more kids... its our duty

hmm.. Debt is 10 Trillion, Kid's kick in $1 Billion a month... well lets just keep them in school for 83 years and combine Kids Camp and Social Security.

... Hell that is one efficient cycle, starts in diapers and ends in diapers... Bravo
