  1. Long day. Misread is for was. Sorry @NeoRio1

I do however believe that with exponential population growth, the world is far from boring.

I think you'll find through history, conservatives have always held Russia (political and military agenda) with a certain degree of skepticism. Despite the fact that we have been ridiculed for it by the left.

Exactly when did the liberals change their view on Russia?

  4. Are liberals a hive mind who have one view?

Your apparent view of the world as teams is preposterous.

Vlad was playing nice, then in 2014 he was not playing nice. Ukraine was leaning to Europe not falling into his reported "get the USSR gang back together" ideas. Paul Manafort did his best to keep them loyal to mother Russia but he failed.

Tired having a huge day. Cheers to Donald for the trade war talk and spooking the markets.

  6. I should have added that Russia was never going to give up on Crimea, they would have preferred all of Ukraine however as a Croatian friend said to me when they invaded. Look at a map. They can't lose that sea access.

You can be sure Clinton and Obama knew all about this. Why not play nice until action is (was) taken.

Two things that shape most of Russia's geopolitical agenda is (financial) oil, (military) warm water ports. Crimea is it, at least anything with size.

Russia would have gone all out war to keep Crimea. If Obama-Clinton could not foresee that, they were fools.

  10. They did you can be sure and it happened anyway, nobody was going to stop it and from what my Croatian friend (military) said nobody in the area was expecting any different. The West got larger Ukraine, losing Crimea was for sure as the milk was sour. Ukraine is a pretty big prize though.

They had to keep the bases in Crimea and both sides of the waterway to keep a safe channel.
