Even when your experience has been what you stated, it seems you’re still on it in some aspect.
    I mean, you’re here. Right? @Wide Tailz

Why is that a bad thing? On a job you measure yourself against others in how productive you are as well as they measure you. The people above you measure your worth too. Promotion/demotion, stagnation or fired off the job.

Why wouldn’t you measure your own ability to produce positive results in your trading? If it’s negative - then that’s what you’re worth - in your trading, not in life. And vice versa.

This site is great entertainment, and sometimes there are new insights wrapped in riddles or just blunt truths that serve as a reality check. The game is too fun; I can't quit!

Just like with anything that is difficult to accomplish, trading can be used as a catalyst to improve - just in life. You realize character flaws and they’re blatant. Granted It’s not the easiest thing by far and quite honestly it wouldn’t be my first. It’s brutal and dangerous financially speaking…

BUT if you’re in the water with sharks, you chose to get in. Now swim! Let’s see what you’re worth. Is what essentially anyone who starts trading tells themselves. It’s a dog eat dog world.

So yeah, if I had foreknowledge of what it’s like I’d take up a skill trade as well. LOL
I’m here now though, no turning back!

Damn, you alright these days? Short on viagra? At your age, you should be chilling out and winding down, not going full-tilt. Take it from this cantankerous old fart. I know what I'm talking about. :sneaky:

No doubt, personal psychology (eg. "know thyself") is important in trading. But what's even more paramount is the market psychology (eg. "know thy enemy"). I'll leave it at that.

Did @MarkBrown imply it takes about 10 years for the average Retail trader to become profitable?

I'd agree with that. Look at trading Losers like SML and @Overnight they're still under 10 years experience. I'm under 10 years experience too and still putting together The Ultimate Swing Trading strategy.

    Ooooh that's a good one!
Market psychology is a topic I haven't seen too much material on that gives a lot of insight that's easily digestible.

Nah, that whole reply he wrote was an attempt to insult me.
He's one of the entertainment characters I've marked for a good "laugh at" every now and then when he engages (me specifically) with childish and ego driven keyboard tantrums.
