Ratboy, the issue is not climate change. It is proven the climate has changed. The issue is who or waht is causing climate change. Some want to put a carbon tax on companys because they blame them for climate changes. Maybe they are exploiting climate change to induce fear and to gain support for a carbon tax. So really, yes, there is climate change. But is it man made or is it changes of the universe that can not be blamed on man alone? Is it an excuse to charge a carbon tax on people?
Yes, take a drive through any inner city in America and look around, or if you have the inclination walk around. The reason the "War" on poverty has failed is because it is fought from a liberal position, that is to Kiss the Ass of the enemy and hope it goes away.
Funny, reminds me when I was listening to Rush Bimbo when he was commenting about the reports of overfishing and the drastic drop in the fish population and how we have nothing to worry about as far as over fishing is concerned. And I'm paraphrasing:Rush - have you ever seen the ocean, it's huge.
Anyone who uses the "have you seen the ocean ... " argument as "logic" (and I use that term loosely) against the possibility of overfishing is ignorant or a moron. In the great big ocean, it's surprising how small of an area it's actually productive to fish for useful species. JB
You gotta consider the source the great Rush Limbaugh, I think he qualifies as both ignorant and a moron.
Why? because he challenges the status quo. The only thing people like you can do in the arena of ideas is to put people down. You should not be so afraid of the truth
Rush isn't a moron. It is true, however, that he's dead wrong on about half of what he says. The thing is, he knows he's wrong. He also knows what his bullet-headed core audience wants to hear. This makes him not a moron, but another savvy businessman in the mold of Ann Coulter.
agmccall: Why? because he challenges the status quo. Saying in effect "the ocean is big, thus it can't be fished out" is a challenge only ignorance could respect. >You should not be so afraid of the truth. Ok, I'll just shift it over to you ... if you believe the "the ocean is big ... " schtick as the truth, you're either ignorant or a moron. JB PS: I will give Nik his point. Ann and Rush both know their audience cold.
