  1. Companies like RIMM, MA, V, BIDU, AAPL, GOOG, AMZN, FSLR immune to recession. The same stocks I have been recommending on ET for the past 2 years. go long.

    - Cover story looks at Amazon.com (NASDAQ: AMZN) as the world's most successful retailer and makes positive recommendation as e-tailer business model, new Kindle and Web services under "cloud computing" makes shares attractive. Consumers are shopping more online in effort to save money in the current economy with Amazon.com reaping the benefits as it does not have expensive retail space and network of supply depots to support it. Amazon retail business model hinges upon centralized and computerized global warehouses that process order and ships them directly to the customer.
    - Kindle new ebook reader is expected to have a positive impact on the company sales at $359/unit and is projected to sell 350K worldwide.
    - Amazon.com is also rolling out new Web services under "cloud computing" for enterprise computing with three main divisions: Amazon Simple DB (databases), Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (computing capacity) and Amazon Simple Storage (data storage) aimed at small and mid-size businesses that are seeking to minimize the overhead expense. Estimates currently put 60K users of enterprise services at Amazon.com

Allianz Global Investors Walter Price expects free cash flow to grow about 20% annually going forward that does not include revenue from Kindle launch and Web services, expects Amazon to double its revenue within with 24-36 months timeframe, and has $100/shr target on the stock within the same time frame

Amazon Shares Have Room to Rise
    04/16/09

Shares of Amazon(AMZN Quote) are up 46% this year and they might rise even more as the Internet retailer targets business customers and takes market share from rival eBay(EBAY Quote).
"Buy"-rated Amazon has been out front with consumers, rolling out a new version of its Kindle digital reader and a new shopping application for BlackBerry users this year. But behind the scenes, the Seattle-based company has been expanding and upgrading its data storage and tech services for businesses.

In the past year, Amazon has diversified its revenue stream and undercut the strongest brick-and-mortar retailers. We expect strong stock performance in the quarters ahead as recession-weary consumers seek bargains online and the company expands into potentially more profitable markets.
