Ninja gave me a free trial, right away i see that it's a differetn location you see the improvement. Will track the prices this week and check. Using MT5 amp global Using ninja vps basically says it is the same spot/improvement as chicago since it's the same latency. So that's good.
95% of the time fine??? It means that one day per month you need to rely on your backup? I don't know, but I would look for another solution if it was happening to me.
I'm not married to AMP. realize I've spent months trying to find a more viable alternative, and right now I just want to trade instead of fighting tech issues. I'll continue to solve it in the background and get some production done in the interim with a viable backup.
Went ahead and hired a developer to finish converting all of my scripts into QT for good. Unfortunately too much time spent / lost in dealing with MT5, so it was time to cut bait. good news is, QT is stupidly fast and stable during all of this volatility. @hilmy83 ya might just want to do this after all. no reason to change from AMP and QT is a free swap minus your algorithm conversions. you'd also have the choice for Rithmic via a separate paid QT license.
I'm using ninja's server right now. I mean most times i see <2ms, compared to my 30ms average with my former ny vps. But I'll track the OHLC for few days during cash open for markets i trade since that's where i see the most dispcrepancies. WIll share here
Let me get mine done overnight(ish) and I'll send you who I use. I've used him before for NT8 stuff as well with good & fair experience.
Confirmed, our MT5 servers are in Chicago for both AMP Futures (USA) and AMP Global (Europe) clients. When trading the Exchange-Traded Futures, such as CME ES or NQ, we have a direct connection from our MT5 servers into the CQG order routing gateway. There is no known faster connection between MT5 and CQG order routing gateway. Any variations in latency would be getting from your computer to our MT5 servers. Once your request hits our MT5 servers, it is processed super-fast! Yes, you can run your MT5 on the built-in VPS service to get you closer to the AMP Chicago MT5 servers. https://www.ampfutures.com/metatrader/trading-platform/vps Let us know if you need any assistance. If you are a non-US person, you can download our Special free MT5 demo here (where you can trade the REAL CME exchange-traded Futures, FX, CFDs, and Crypto-CFDs with our All-In-One MT5 Account): https://downloads.ampglobal.com/metatrader-5-mt5 For our US clients or prospective clients, here is the download to trade the REAL CME exchange-traded Futures: https://downloads.ampfutures.com/meta-trader-5-mt5 We will continue to answer any questions on this thread. Happy Trading!
So I've ran MT5 live AMP account on 3 different platforms. MT5 (NY vps), MT5 (Chicago), and CQG desktop. This is a single bar comparison at 830a cst (13:30 MT5 time). Yellow cells indicate discrepancy between MT5 and CQG desktop price. This confirms all the previous threads I have opened up about MT5 mispricing. This is not latency issue, this is a platform issue. I have 2 days of data so far (10/24-10/25) and I'm already seeing discrepancies between MT5 pricing and CQG desktop. The funny thing is, both chicago and NY vps show the same exact price discrepancies. So @AMP_Global, can you comment on this. When i read that MT5 has direct connection to cqg/exchange server and I see this, all I think is false statement. It's obvious there's lag/latency issue here. You can confirm on your end and verify the prices I have up here and compare CQG/MT5 830a data. @Ninja Mobile Trader VPS , can you comment on this too? I don't see this discrepancies in other platforms. MT5 is a very popular platform, but feels like they are not directly connected to the exchange. I honestly CANNOT recommend MT5 for futures trading. This shows there is some serious inherent issue with MT5 connection regardless of vps location. I'm working towards moving my algos away from MT5, but hopefully people can see what's going on. I will continue testing till this Friday
Funny you posted this. Tell you the truth, I think AMP is being honest about their connection. the reason I say this is because I did about 3.5 hours' worth of recording AMP's MT5 vs. AxiomaticAI's MT5. Guess which one was off? Neither. They were exactly the same. Guess which one matched CQG Desktop / CQG-Quantower perfectly? Neither. lol. MT5 is the issue. I've been just beaming yesterday and today watching everything through my CQG/Quantower interface as I await my final fixes to be made to my charting for QT. Quantower is ridiculously fast. for the first time in awhile I actually feel like I'm seeing true market speed lol. I make this point because Axio was very insistent on saying they are directly connected to CQG with their MT5. I don't doubt this. it's just that when I put theirs up against AMP's MT5, both quotes were directly in-step. but neither MT5 was in-step with CQG Desktop nor Quantower via CQG. I can only assume by now that MT5 itself is the issue. regardless, it was a good breakup yesterday with MT5. onward with QT. AMP is solid as any FCM can be and the margins are unbeatable.
