Hello, I am a German citizen. I am only trading ES/NQ. Am I able to open an account with AMP US or am I only able to open one with AMP Global?
If you use the European arm you can only use MT4 and MT5. The USA AMP presents you with a wide choice of platforms such as Sierra charts etc. You can also use Tradestation Global which is linked to Interactive brokers, Ninja trader etc.
If you are in Europe AMP allows you to fund via SEPA: https://www.b2bpay.co/sepa-countries AMP has a bank branch with Barclays in London to aid account funding via SEPA
I've been trying to potentially move to AMP for months but keep running into problems with them. 1) I live in New Zealand and when I contact the New accounts (Europe) chatroom, their only 'help' ever is to tell me to contact USA chat after 0700 CST. Pretty pointless chatroom. 2) I have twice filled out the web form to get commission quotes for my needs. No reply, no information. 3) I had completed a company account application of which was rejected for some unknown reason. The company is a legitimate NZ limited liability company. The reply from AMP staff was "too risky". This is coming from a broker that lets you open an account with $100 and maybe the lowest day trade margins around. Interactive Brokers has no problem with this same company. Stage 5 has no problems with this same company. Phillip Capital has no problem. Go figure. 4) Because the company account was rejected, I wanted to try a private personal account application. The system tells me the email used is unavailable. So I contact AMP support via email 3 times to ask if they could unbind my email address so I can proceed with a new account application. Never get a reply. I've honestly tried hard to get an account open with AMP, but they make it difficult to take my business. Sure its only 400 - 500 round trips a month, but we could be building a beautiful relationship that would grow over time. Instead we are building frustration and bad word of mouth...
