    true bernard111,
had to chuckle about this one yest, too.

also it's not the issue that "something" never fails, but how this is handled once it goes south...

although i can add i am very happy with the combo i chose some time ago...

    cheers

  2. Anyone know if Amp/Mirus still has TF (formely ER2) with the same commissions as ER2 and the same low intraday margins as ER2? Has anything changed in that area? This would be with using NinjaTrader.

Since AMP is now a sponsor and promoting themselves I thought I'd share my experience just so people can make an educated decision on whether they choose them as their broker...

I'll preface this by saying I'm sure there are many people who have had only good experiences with AMP, but I am not one of those people. So every trader has had to wire money to and from their account right? Well have you ever had a wire take 4 business days to complete? My wire transfer took four days to complete when i requested to have my money sent to me. I would call to check on the status of it and no one seemed to know what was going on with it and kept passing me off to someone else. My broker had no idea what was going on and kept telling me day after day "It'll go out first thing tomorrow." I heard all kinds of excuses such as "The guy who approves the wires is out until Thursday" and "It's the end of the month so things are kinda hectic around here." It wasn't until I sent an angry email and threatened to go around to EVERY internet site for traders and defame them If I didn't get my money by the end of that business day that someone finally decided to get off their butts and take care of my wire. I got a call from the President of the company himself and was notified that everything was taken care of. After everything was said and done, it turned out my broker had told me to fill out the wrong forms online and no one was able to figure out for FOUR days.

I normally wouldn't have said anything, but since it seems that they are reviewing their own firm, according to a prior post, I thought i would share my experience as well.

Like I said before, I'm sure many have had no problems at all with the firm, but I did and wanted to share so that everyone could make an educated decision for themselves and not just here one side from the firm themselves.

    Good Trading All,

  7. Cannot vouch for or against Mirus or Amp, but I can say that Ninja users who want the ultra-speedy and stable TT feed will receive excellent customer service at Manduca Trading.

  9. I don't see anywhere on Amp's or Velocity or OpenECry's websites references to SIPC insured accounts. I just want to know if I open an account with any of these brokerages if my money will be insured or if it is similar to a prop shop with equities?

    thanks ahead of time

Futures accounts are NOT insured by SIPC.
Your funds are held in a segregated account @ the FCM's clearing bank.
    Are you new?
