I am a fairly active ES (emini s&P) trader doing about 30 RT's a day.

I am looking for a broker that offers Ninja 6, prefer Zenfire.

I have been looking at AMP, but I am a little concerned seeing the post on this site that are from a sale's guy posing as a trader...I have also read some customer service complaints on this site.

I am considing Velocity..but pretty sure they don't have Zenfire and not sure how much of a difference that will make.

I am also looking at Mirus and waiting for a quote from them.

I want to pay as little as possible for RT, but also want a very good outfit with outstanding customer service, low intra-day margins and finally, solid and super-fast platform performance and execution is most important to me.

Any suggestions would be great. I am in Minneaplis area and have about $20k to deposit for this account if that helps. I do hold overnight from time to time, but mostly keep it intraday

    Thanks -

If you want zen-fire and ninja only, then your choice is limited. Mirus is a great company, so you should go with them. ES tick is 12.5, so even if comm is 50c more or less, it does not matter too much.

Thanks for your quick feedback...I have been leaning that way and this helps.

Mirus offers two clearing houses Dorman and Rosenthal. Whats the difference in these two? Are they both pretty solid outfits?

    Any known preference?

    Thanks again!

hey man, looks like your on the right track. i usually check into these boards just to put a bad word in about IB, but I noticed your post.

im a current amp client, pretty similar to you. i liked zen, but then they just sold me on trading technologies. I'd suggest calling them up and asking about it. i dont know if it was because im an existing customer, but they gave me a great rate.

anyway, i chose amp over mirus, mostly cuz i spotted them first and they seemed identical otherwise. so im sure mirus would be fine, but i suggest checking out this TT.

    Great info here.

I guess I would have to contact both to find who has cheaper commissions. I think in the end I will go with Mirus b/c that's who I set my demo account up with.

has anyone heard anything about Advantage?

  7. Thanks for the answer but I was wondering where they cut off the $500 margin. Like with some outfits, they cut it off at 50 contracts. Do you know if there is a cut off point? And do you know if you have to have a stop loss in at a certain percentage of the margin being used?

Example: TradeStation at the moment has ES margin a little over 1K per contract with a 30% stop (If I am remembering correctly) which means for each contract your stop can not be more than 6 points.

    Hi,

I have been looking after Mirus and AMP and finally I am opening an account with velocity.

Their commissions with NT are better than Mirus or AMP:

DAX = 2.73 euros per round turn

STOXX = 2.73 euros per round turn

NQ = 3.98 per round turn

ES = 3.98 per round turn

I wanted to have zenfire but they offer TT and i think that is high quality as well.

    cheers

been through the decision some months ago & can only fully recommend Mirus & the Ninja 65 & ZenFire combo.

AMP contact was ok, but not timely enough in my opinion ( ok i can be picky), Mirus was quicker & also gave me the better quote after some negotiating.

So far very happy to have made the switch.

    Good trading next week,

Thanks very much Trader, ssierra and Cosmic. Your insight is very helpful and very much appreciated. It is great to get the viewpoint of real traders who have already been through this decision or done some comparing themselves. I really appreciate you taking the time to respond. Have a great week and Happy Trading!
