Hello AMP_Trading, I opened and funded an AMP account, subscribed to Osaka Exchange, and made a commission request for the OSE Tokyo (BIG) JGB Futures contract, as it is not listed in AMP's commission calculator, but got no response from AMP yet, although I made the first request via email over a month ago, the second request yesterday. I receive data for JGB Futures and it is listed on AMP's margin site. Could you please hand over my request for trading OSE JGB Futures to the AMP department? I get 494 JPY per side with Interactivebrokers, so AMP should match or beat that rate according to your website.
Hi Mitch83, We are not currently offering the (BIG) JGB Futures contract. The Mini-Nikkei 225 fits our customer - risk profile best. It is being traded by many of our customers. If we add the (BIG) JGB we will make an announcement.
Hi, just wanted to give an update: Shortly after my last post here I was able to trade the big JGB contract through AMP (just in time for the BoJ announcement on 7/7, thx!). There are 3 advantages of AMP vs. IB: 1. Commissions: 284 JPY + 0.26 USD per side with CQG (account balance >10000 USD) 2. ON margin 660000 JPY, maintenance 600000 JPY 3. Faster data feed Negative: OSE data feed costs 29 USD/mo. All in all I'm very pleased with AMP.
I thought KOSPI has ridiculous margin requirements for a futures product and isn't the most efficient way to leverage your cash these days.
KRX exchange reduce this year contract value for both mini Kospi and Big Kospi. Mini Kospi 200 point value from 100000KRW to 50000KRW,tick size 0,02 and Big Kospi 200 from 500000KRW to 250000KRW tick size 0,05.IB margin for mini Kospi 200 (1900 USD) and for big Kospi 200 (9500 USD).
