They aren’t https://faq.ampglobal.com/hc/en-us/articles/10883358094615-Exchange-Market-Data-Fees-Monthly Not sure if US customers can trade via AMP GOBAL vs AMP FUTURES
We can't, nor would we want to. Here's what it looks like on our end when choosing CQG... So as you can see, it is pretty raunchy for them to charge DOM pricing when they snip it from one of their trading platforms.
... just pay for the CQG $35 Bundle with market depth as listed above. If you're truly making decent money out of this then $35 is nothing compared to the commissions you'd pay every day
If you're addressing me, I'm already paying the $35 fee. The point is why offer level 2 on a data feed and charge it if you won't provide it on some platforms? Makes no sense. The reasoning of increased performance is just bollocks.
I see nothing raunchy or contradictory here. AMP correctly assumes that someone using MT5 with no use for Level 2 data, like myself for example, will not opt for the $35 fee but rather will settle for Top-of-Book Equity Indices for $3.
Hi Overnight. I was agreeing with the info/suggestion that you were supplying to the OP (you highlighted it for them). As they sell your order flow which I hear is in the AMP docs you sign, it would be difficult to enter even when you see the the rest of the market entering on the level 2 data. I recon it's to stop all the complaints as the their spread would be wider than what a third party level 2 (or CQG) would reveal. Tasty is the same and gives rubbish SPX fills
You're missing the point entirely. I've been using AMP and MT5 for nearly 10 years, and up until a month ago or so, they fed level 2 data on MT5. Yet with no warning they dropped it to TOB, yet are still charging 35 bux, and not even giving users the ability to opt-back in to full depth with MT5.
I understand. However, AMP will keep charging you for CME Level 2 data because you enrolled for it and the onus is on you to cancel it. There are other free platforms with Level 2 (like CQG QTrader) which you can use. If you want MT5 and Level 2, then you may have to try another broker.
