AMEX to go public next?

Do you think since the NYSE and NASDAQ are public companies, the AMEX would be the next to go public?

 

It could go public on its own or be bought out by another exchange with "expensive" stock.

 

They are cleaning it up for a go. They have blown their options business and their etf business. Dropped the ball on both after pioneering the respective businesses. Can't see much left to pick over for a suitor.

 

Their equities have been outperforming NYSE and Nasdaq. Seems like after losing the options & etfs, they had to tell their specialists to lay off the equities and let the hedge funds play around a bit. AMEX still has the most undervalued equity plays and huge run ups can happen as noone really interferes.
