I've been seeing AMEX on my level 2 lately, causing cross markets. When I'm executing through ARCA, I'm not able to take the shares from this MM or exchange. Could someone please explain what the hell this is and how I can take share from that source.

    Thanks in advance.

  2. PER is like DOT but for the Amex. You will have to have access to a listed executioner such as OES to route the order to the Amex. Most daytrading software programs have OES, if not then tell them you want it.

I left out the part that I am seeing seeing AMEX, on the level II market maker ID on Nasdaq stocks. For instance I was trading MEDI yesterday, and AMEX would stop the momentum all the time because it seems no one could hit that darn thing. What is that and how can I get shares from them? Do I use dot? because Dot executions are very slow to begin with.

    Thanks
