Nice to have the news feed at all on TOS but why cripple it? NO keyword alert. NO alert by symbol NO symbol at all in the feed, only searchable by symbol So if a few of you lazy types call them and complain, maybe they fix it
IB has taken a *really*-close-to-perfect news feed/trading link arrangement, and similarly *killed* it. I can't figure why. But you're ability to trade off of alerts? Gone. Your ability TO EVEN KNOW THE TIME OF economic releases?? Gone. etc etc etc. If I was an IB partner, I'd be mighty pissed. If I was an IB competitor, I'd be mighty pleased. If I was IB, I'd be *damn* embarrassed. At any event, ToS users are not alone on this one.....
I noticed this yesterday, it's impossible to follow the live news. Too much going on at once to weed out anything important. Trade the news is also pretty bad.. It's a shame because it's basically free WSJ
The only thing that will get these idiots to fix / improve the platforms is people voting with their feet. Sadly that's not likely to happen
How dumb are they ? If you are using VERY large as the system font in TOS (god forbid they let you select font per window) , then the news font in the STORY is gigantic and you have to fu&& with the screen to even read it. Lazy, inept programmers at Ameritrade. People need to call and complain
