This example is actually in London... but the behavior of left wing administrators & students pushing "safe spaces", limiting speech, and banning "microaggression" is the same nonsense seen on this side of the pond.

What CAN I joke about? Comedian cancels university show after students force him to sign 'behaviour contract' banning sexism, classism, ageism, ableism, transphobia... plus SEVEN other ‘isms’
    • Konstantin Kisin was sent 'behavioural agreement form' from SOAS union
    • Asked to sign form stopping him telling jokes that weren't 'respectful and kind'
    • Student leaders said ban was necessary to preserve the event as a 'safe space'

A comedian has pulled out of a student charity event after being asked to sign a contract banning him from being offensive about almost anything.

Konstantin Kisin was sent a 'behavioural agreement form' which stopped him telling jokes which were not 'respectful and kind'.

The form stated: 'By signing this contract, you are agreeing to our no-tolerance policy with regards to racism, sexism, classism, ageism, ableism, homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, xenophobia, Islamophobia or anti-religion or anti-atheism.'

Student leaders said the ban was necessary to preserve the event as a 'safe space' and a place for 'joy, love, and acceptance'.

But Mr Kisin, 35, who was born in the Soviet Union, said the demand amounted to a 'threat to freedom of speech' and pulled out.

The fundraising event, scheduled for January 23, is organised by the Unicef On Campus society at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), part of the University of London.

Mr Kisin was one of four comedians invited to perform unpaid, with proceeds going to the UN children's charity.

Politics student Fisayo Eniolorunda, the society's event organiser, wrote in the invitation: 'Attached is a short behavioural agreement form that we will ask for you to sign on the day to avoid problems.'

(Article includes pictures, image of agreement form, video, links, and more info on this complete insanity)

  4. 'safe space' and a place for 'joy, love, and acceptance'.

Problem is that policy pretty much eliminates all comedy, as every single one of the great comedians, past and present would tell us. The humorless leftist have become a real drag. Fascists are like that. Not real big on anything funny.

  5. It's not funny if it hurts people. it's not a satire when you are the oppressed. Calling people "retard" as a joke or humor or to demean or dehumanize them, all with an aim to relay that someone is stupid just hurts the person who has a disability. It's wrong cause it implies the mentally handicapped person is being characterized as a stupid person. same as calling a weak person, a "pussy". or any other derogatory terms. if you need to hurt or to scoff at people to be funny then you are not a fucking comedian, just a punk ass mean asshole. great comedians don't do that.

Note that the comedian was invited to perform for FREE and on top of that expected to sign some stupid contract trying to control his act. Note to event organizers...research the entertainment you intend on using...know what they do and if you don't like it, don't use them.

  8. Not so fast, hombre. How many comedians, I mean funny ones, actually support Trump? You know, "the non-leftists." Go ahead, name them. :p

  9. There's a very, very long list of comedians, very popular ones past and present, that would fail your test.

  10. I didn't think that was the point. I doubt any of the household name comedians are Trump supporters. Doesn't mean I don't find them funny. There are many comedians, actors, musicians and the like that I enjoy watching them practice their craft while at the same time not giving two shits about their political leanings and complaints.
