I wish republicans asked the babies what they want when republicans are trying to cut programs that feed, house, educate and provide medical care for them.
Abortion is legal in the U.S. -- women having children outside marriage cannot use the excuse that some Republicans oppose abortion as an excuse for their lack of personal responsibility. Why should I pay for their lack of personal responsibility? If they have the financial resources to raise the child on their own (over 90% don't) then good & fine -- I am not on the financial hook for their behavior. Otherwise -- having children outside marriage is a problem. A personal decision that they made which suddenly becomes my financial burden.
Society shouldn't take it out on the child imo although republicans like to do so. Should responsible single people not be allowed to have children outside of marriage because of irresponsible people ? That same answer could apply to guns.
The question actually is -- "Should taxpayers continually pay for the irresponsible behavior of others?" The answer for having children out of wedlock should be the same as it is for guns. The answer is "No". If someone has a child out-of-wedlock the financial burden should not be on me. If someone is irresponsible with a gun then the cost should be on the irresponsible individual via lawsuits and other mechanisms to cover the damage they have done illegally. BTW - shooting a criminal entering your home is a completely responsible use of a gun -- the criminal should pay the consequences of their actions.
So tell me where it is impossible for a woman to get an abortion. They are still easily accessible in every state. The only question is if the government should be paying for abortions with tax payer money. Most people believe the answer is "No".
Republicans have passed laws that is making abortions harder to get and shutting down abortion clinics.
If cost is you're only focus maybe we should just euthanize teenagers, they cost much more than infants. Oh, and for exgopher, that's sarcasm.
