You seem to miss the bigger point... that is, when they make all of your money worthless, it won't matter how much you "made".

Usally a republician inherits a poor economy, fixes it then leaves it in good shape for a democratic president to enjoy the rewards

Bush is the cause of greater demand of oil from the thrid world, China and India

it is because the US Army is sitting on top of the persion Gulf that is keeping the oil tankers moving.

With this protection international business and investors have the confidence to invest in more backwards countries.

Western companies "outsourcing" well-paying jobs has been a bane also. Many Americans have had to accept lesser pay jobs while Asian countries accelerate the development of their middle class.... accompanied by ever greater demands for higher quality food and increased energy consumption.... thus putting upward pressure on prices for us as well.

    Unintended consequences...

  7. Let me understand this.

So if Obama wins and the economy does better it is because president Bush fixed it and if it does worse then it is his own fault.

What if, if Macain wins and the economy does worse? Whose fault would that be? Maybe the Democratic congress?

  9. It will now upset a lot of people that SE Asians and other third world countries are not eating 2 meals a day instead one...that trend will not be reversed.

Costs of food have simply got to go up.

Outsourcing is nothing new...IBM has been doing it since the 80's...China is alreading doing it... standard efficiency method to lower cost for equivalent product.

Like it or not, USA is part of the world economy and its share will diminsh as time goes on....but will always be a the front of innovation, which means society will need to be educated at higher standards to survive.

Take a peek at India, 650 million lower and middle class...to survive they have to have least a bachelors degree just to answer a phone...problem is that they are educated, disciplined robots that have not the first idea how to become innovative...our gain.
