Bad/destructive government has been around since the beginning of civilization. Our ancestors fled Europe and came to America to get away from their bad government. Our Founders tried to give us a framework and set of rules in the Constitution which would prevent that same bad government from developing here. Ben Franklin said, "We've given you a republic, if you can keep it". Apparently we can't. Because greedy, power-hungry politicians fail to adhere to the restraints of the US Constitution... and because greedy parasites support and encourage them... America has morphed into the same bad, greedy government/society nearly all of the rest of the world has.
