No what I mean is that the group that lobbies the hardest probably is working in their own interest. And disagreeing with what Trump is doing is probably wrong.

This is the stupidest statement I have seen in quite a while.

That new car you bought? Many parts were made in China. Can you choose to buy that car, which had the China parts, or a car made from parts in a different Asian country?

Really? Try it. Tell your local car dealership you want only the car made with non-China parts. ALL China parts. Think Vegan.

"America doesn’t want to buy cheap shit."

Yes, America wants to buy cheep shit. This is why big-box retail still exists. That you cannot understand this boggles my mind. Americans are stupid, but they are also very frugal, because they want to stretch their dollar longer, because they get paid very little compared to their cost of living, and are unhappy about it. And to be frugal they must buy cheep.

The only way Americans can buy cheep shit is if they can get the shit for cheep. That will only come from a country like China, or Thailand, or some other SE Asia company that pays the workers bupkus to do the work to make those items we wish to buy.

No, America lost the desire to buy quality many years ago. All America wants is cheep shit. This is why Walmart, Lowe's, Home Depot, Target etc et al are seeing great store sales increases period-to-period. Q4 this year though? Mmmmm! Will be tough, because Frump is threatening to tariff the cheep shit consumers buy, and not just the industrial goods. He's now threatening the stuff we used to buy for cheep.

Trump is a loser, and does not realize how bad this trade war is going to stretch out to.

And then there is this one little bit left...

"I’m happy to pay a little more, or buy a little less, if it means China won’t undermine basic trading rules.."

That seems an altruism, and I have ZERO FAITH that you believe in that. Period. Because you want to SAVE money by buying the cheep shit made in China. Otherwise, you are just giving away your money for an ethereal cause.

How is that going to help you when you are living on the street, homeless, because you paid too much money for the items you needed to live and not be homeless?

    FFS.

    More music needed.

Trump has not declared a national emergency, and Trump himself is the unusual and extraordinary threat.

It is not outside the US, it is from within.

Remember, Trump is the one who started this, last year, and has been the one to push the extra buttons on each leg up of this trade war.

Vanz, I love you man, but don't try to argue against this one. Trump is wrong on this, ESPECIALLY since May 5th.
