The USA is in a crisis, plain and simple. I do not envy the next US president a least bit. The problem is that the rugged, individualistic American persona is also in crisis. The Americans have become, to simply put it; ungovernable[/u]. Laws whether that are traffic, corporate or polygamy are either simply ignored or taunted with rich lawyers and purchasable judges. The motto of the day is; if you can get away with it - do it. The biggest crisis of the day is the Congressional hearings on the subsidiary of Halliburtonâs war profiteering. In most normal and reasonable country these managers would be shot as wartime profiteers were throughout history. Yet, I bet YOU a dollar for a doughnut that these people will maybe get demoted (fired) and nothing will happen. They will be quietly get re-hired as consultants or in a different position. We have had NO LEADERSHIP in the US since JFK was killed along with his baby brother. Even Clinton had his brain in his crotch during his term and the rest of Presidents were simply crooks. (The only decent guy we had was Carter but he was also a very poor manager unable to make decisions and took us into a very bad inflation (although he was not personally accountable to that, he chose a bad cabinet and simply could not do anything rightâ¦.) Not to mention the sad puppet we have NOW masquerading as a president.
