Fauxcahontas continuing to uptick in the polls, slowly but surely, tick, tick, tick. The dems have no choice but to look her over hard. They have dealt themselves a very weak hand of cards, so have no choice but to figure out how to play it. When new candidates were rolling in daily, it was for people - myself included- to dismiss warren because no one likes her, but now that the barn door has (probably) been closed on new candidates, it is not all that easy to dismiss her- I mean for the dems to dismiss her. The only ones above her are biden and bernie. You dont have to be a rocket surgeon to see that they have no choice but to look her over. Of course see her rise over time, is not the same as saying that I think she will be the nominee, although I do think she is the most likely nominee right now. But I do think seeing her rise- over time- will lead to a brokered convention- and I have no frigging idea what will come out of that food fight. She is at least a worthy opponent for Trump. Biden is not. Fauxca is up on her feet and swinging so the bloodier the better and it would be bloody. I dont have any interest in watching someone kill off your crazy old uncle. No one likes her though. So this is a problem for the dems. It is just Hillary 2.0 where every day she runs you will be lectured on how the reason you dont like her is because you are a sexist pig, the women included. For those who like to misunderstand what I am saying, I will say again that I just think that she can do enough damage to divide the party so that it has to go to a brokered convention. The votes in the primaries will be hopelessly shattered and scattered between biden, bernie, warren, and the third tier losers. I am not declaring Warren to be any great candidate. No one likes her. But, again, the dems have no choice now but to go back and look at her. Biden aint gonna save the day. She gonna tick, tick, tick up in the polls. Drives me nuts when she shakes her head back and forth when asked a question. Then the finger wagging with it. As I have said before, she is like having your third grade teacher reappear to chew your arse out for not returning those library books. Warren support breaks double digits: poll https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/446812-warren-support-breaks-double-digits-poll
I never thought dems could come up with a dorkier candidate than Obama but he actually seems normal against Warren. Even an obvious fraud like Biden seems somewhat authentic compared to her insulting and ham-fisted attempts to be plebian. For goodness sakes, she was a Harvard law professor, even if she got that by fraud, at least have the respect for us to act like that. Who is dorkier?
Both of her "hometown" newspapers - the Herald and the Lefty Globe- urged her- their own senator- to not run. As I said, "no one likes her". but this is the hand the dems have dealt themselves. She says "let me get a beer." She is not even a good faux masshole. The word in Boston is "beee-ahhhh". Indians and firewater. Never a good mix I guess.
Whether or not Warren is in the race it is more likely than not the democrats will have a brokered convention.
"by a lot of measures" Well, one of the measures is what the candidate's position is now/this week. Unfortunately for them, another measure they run into is what they supported in the past. Both Biden and Warren will need to do that dance well. Trump had to do it as well, given his dem leanings/participation in the past, just talking politics not the personal stuff. So it can be done, but you better be on your game. It's amazing how some of these clowns can think of running for years, have a big staff of advisers etc, and seemingly have not even looked at some basic shiite. It just happened to Joe. Did he not think that the Hyde Amendment thing would be slammed in his face from day one? Sheesh. And, as a republican example, Jeb runs- had been thinking and planning about it for years- had a big team of advisors, etc- and then someone asked him if he thought the Iraq War was a mistake and if he would have done it over again as his brother did- and it just disabled him for weeks. Hellooooooo........what were you thinking? Or rather, not thinking. You gotta have your dance steps worked out on some of this predictable stuff.
Sometimes it performs a useful service in revealing to the public just how shallow the candidate is. I remember when newsman Roger Mudd, a personal friend fo Ted Kennedy's in McClean Virginia, interviewed him prior to Kennedy running for president. He lobbed him an underhand toss of a question about "Why did he want to be president?" and Kennedy was totally stumped. It was long rumored that this incident and the massive embarrassment it caused Kennedy, was the reason the highly esteemed Mudd was passed over to replace Walter Cronkite in favor of the annoying Dan Rather.
Ignorant guys like you often aren't tolerant of women and minorities that are far more intelligent and successful then you are.
Warren is pushing some very big ideas, or as I call it making incredible promises, that have no chance of becoming policy. Bernie is looking very flatfooted. I don’t know if he is just living off of his old anti nato record and Medicare for all platform from four years ago or what but the guy is just not winning the idea (promises) primary. If he loses this go around there shouldn’t be as much sour grapes as last time because he is just ho humming his way through this so far.
