Pure fantasy. You are guessing at the cause, and also surmising that American women are inferior to their counterparts worldwide in their ability to bear healthy children....yet offer no proof in support. If you want to say that those countries that are socialist in nature, do a better job of caring for the citizens, providing superior prenatal care, providing better nutrition, better education, less economic stress during and after pregnancy, etc.....that would be an argument that would logically follow. On a lark, for the sake of argument, say you are right, that pregnant women in America don't take care of themselves as well as women in other modern countries. Please, tell us exactly why that is.... See, no matter how you slice it, we have a problem that is not getting better, and under the Bush administration, it is getting worse....we are failing to create a society in which the unborn child is taken care of by pregnant women...all the while the Christian right talks endlessly about the need to protect the unborn child. Your suggestion that physicians wanting more money for health-care to help cope with this problem for purely selfish motivations, is a slur of the worst kind... What have we seen under Bush? Increase in the number of people living in poverty, increase in the number of children who die shortly after birth...and the compassionate conservatives want to blame the mothers.... Oy freaking vey...
Nice to hear from you dddooo. And by all means, please do take all of your ailments, medical, psychological and psychiatric problems to Japan, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Dubai, Egypt, or where ever.
"And by all means, please do take all of your ailments, medical, psychological and psychiatric problems to Japan, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Dubai, Egypt, or where ever." Ah, a twist on the stale old mantra: "America, love it or leave it." How about a new mantra for the new millennium: "America, love it and fix it." We have an infant mortality issue, and your response is to tell people if they don't like it, to go to other countries. How very, very patriotic....
It is the hypocrisy of the religious right, who cry and cry for the unborn child, but do nothing about the mothers who don't get sufficient prenatal care, do nothing to prevent a pregnant woman from abusing her body, etc. They call a fetus a child, they go apeshit over abortion calling it murder of a child....but do they in their desire to protect that "unborn child" take measure to make sure the mother of the "unborn child" is taken care of properly? Would they prohibit pregnant women from the use of alcohol, cigarettes, drugs, poor nutrition...as all of these endanger the "unborn child?" Not in a million years....
Prove we have an infant mortality issue. I already told you we treat babies that other countries leave for dead. do you not get the difference --- we have multimillion dollar machines in NICUs that cost more than hospitals in most countries. We save "dead" babies that die again within a month. Now show me in your statistics we have a problem relative to other countries.
You are a dope. Our country saves babies that other countries consider dead. Try going into the NICU at childrens hospital in San Diego and think we do not save babies. You are a dopey liberal with a troll agenda who does not understand statistics. Childrens spends millions on some children born with no chance of living long. The cost is picked up by the taxpayers. It is crazy. But they do. You just have no idea what you are talking about.
